| THE BACKGROUND | |
| In
the US, patients are in most cases insured by health insurance
companies (payors) for payment of their medical care. Doctors
as well as other healthcare facilities contract with these
payors to provide medical care to their Patients. Not all
doctors and healthcare facilities accept all the dozens
of payors in the market. Hundreds of doctors and facilities
in an area, combined with all the different payors, create
thousands if not millions of combination. It was a challenge for the office staffers at medical facilities to refer their patient to the facility which accept the patient’s payor in that geographic areas. They were managing this information through continuous phone calls, emails, outdated payor directory books and by visiting payor websites. |

| THE SOLUTION | |
| We
at TechnoScore, designed a web based application www.referralclick.com
for our Client. This web application provides a single source,
accurate and easy to use information source for all Doctors
Offices. This web based system also gives the ability to
the designated persons from their doctor or facility listing
to login and modify their information real time. We have also provided the CMS (content management System) for the website administrator to add or edit any doctor/facility listing. |

| TECHNOLOGY USED | |
| The
site has been built using PHP as the server scripting language
and Mysql database. PHP and MySQL are two leading open-source
scripting and database technologies and complement each
other very well. We implemented a highly flexible & robust
database using mysql that smoothly handles already millions
and constantly increasing online records. We have used AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) extensively in this web application to display search results, member panel, change password etc. Technoscore has been using AJAX techniques as a performance enhancement initiatives for critical functionality of web-applications. Web usability guidelines were strictly followed during development and the interface was made easily navigable through judicious use of AJAX, CSS and HTML controls. |
